Every year we ask folx who’ve tried coaching to let us know how it impacted them, both to help us improve this resource, but also so prospective coachees can hear directly from their community the way coaching has support them.
It was way better than I expected and much more helpful. I had actionable items to take away from with each session and was given some advice or I gave advice to myself through this process.
This coaching came into my life when I really needed it. I now feel more resilient to the challenges in my life, but also much more self compassion for when I do struggle. I have so much gratitude for my coach. Thank you for making this service accessible to students.
Thank you to my coach for being the kindest, most supportive, intentional, and patient person I’ve ever interacted with. This resource was a highlight of my experience at Stanford and has taught me that it is so important to reach out for guidance and support when you need it.
My well-being coach has honestly helped me more than any other helping professional I've ever known. I am so grateful to have found Well-Being Coaching — I have felt so heard and understood and empowered to take action with the things in my life that I'm struggling with. Amazing service, I would recommend it to any and every student.
Coaching has helped me build a more positive relationship with myself and become more mindful of the voices in my head that bring me down. I now see these voices as the soft and fragile parts of me that tell me stories to stop me from taking risks and making myself vulnerable. I have learned to be more compassionate with them, but also to doubt them. They never tell the whole truth.
COACHING CHANGED MY LIFE BLESS YOU 💚
Coaching works. Plain and simple. The coaches empower you to make small changes in your life that have big impacts.
I have learned so much from my coach in just three sessions. I've already cried twice — each time because a profound realization about my past surfaced. Every session has left me with concrete tools and resources to rebuild my life, my resilience, and my hopes for the future. I am so grateful for Well-Being at Stanford and especially for the gift that is my coach. This program has truly been a priceless resource for me - both personally and professionally.
My coach has been a huge help to me to navigate a very hard time changing advisors. I had to restart my PhD after 2.5 years of working in a toxic environment. Coaching helped me to identify what was valuable to keep from my previous experience and how to recover from the issues that remained from that previous episode and flourish in my second chance.
When I was struggling with zoom classes last year at this time, my coach really helped ground me and motivated me to listen to my inner critic but not sink into its dominating voice. She also helped me work through my relationship with my parents by listening to my story. As I did not have access to psychological services back home, the well-being resource was what I counted on to support my mental health. Thanks to you all, I am in a much better place right now, and will be forever thankful for the support I received.
It really helped me find the right resources to solve challenges that had arisen when I moved to campus.
Coaching has helped me set goals and boundaries in my personal life. It’s helped me develop language about the person I want to be and establish a plan to get there. I feel very supported and heard by my coach.
