About Ric Weiland
Main content start
Richard "Ric" Weiland (class of '76), was a pioneering advocate for queer rights and Microsoft founder who entrusted Stanford University with funds to support queer health. Some of these funds helped create the Weiland Health Initiative, a collective of queer clinicians providing queer-centered clinical services, advocacy, and education to the Stanford community and beyond. As members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community, the Weiland Initiative aims to continue to honor his legacy.
