Travel Health
Vaden’s Travel Clinic provides you with pre-travel consultation specific to your health history, destination, potential activities, and the health and safety issues of the destination. Our goal is to help you stay safe and healthy during your trip so you can enjoy your experience to the fullest extent. We can also help coordinate a Medical Services evaluation for travelers with self-identified risk factors and/or disease symptoms. There is a consultation fee, and immunizations are charged separately.
Our Staff
The clinic is staffed by nurses certified in travel health by the International Society of Travel Medicine and nurses specializing in travel health. For additional information see the Medical Services Staff page.

Scheduling an Appointment
Please know hours vary. Students may book a Travel Health Services appointment through the VadenPatient portal, or by calling 650.498.2336 ext. 1, during regular business hours.
When to Schedule an Appointment
Schedule your appointment at least four to six weeks before departure to allow enough time to receive the recommended vaccinations. Travelers with identified risk factors and/or disease symptoms should make an appointment in Medical Services for a pre-travel assessment.
Preparing for Your Appointment
Bring your immunization record and/or your International Certificate of Vaccination (the “yellow card”) with you. Having a complete and current immunization record can help reduce the expense of receiving unnecessary immunizations.
Complete our travel health history questionnaire on VadenPatient prior to your appointment, or print out and complete the form and bring it with you to the appointment.
