Amy Elkins

Amy Elkins is a visual artist working primarily in photography and installation, holding a BFA in Photography from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA in Art Practice from Stanford University. She has been actively engaged in the professional art world for over 15 years through exhibitions, fellowships, publications, artist lectures, and more. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at The High Museum of Art, South Bend Museum of Art, MSU Broad Museum, Kunsthalle Wien, North Carolina Museum of Art, and more. Her photographs have been published in the LA Times, Newsweek, NY Times, New Yorker, and Vice, among many others. Elkins was recently awarded a Fleishhacker Foundation Eureka Fellowship and Kala Media Arts Fellowship. She began a mindfulness practice in 2016 and got through isolation during the COVID-19 lockdown by adhering to a regimen of daily creativity and mindfulness practices. Her course Practice, Practice, Practice was developed out of these experiences and has been wonderfully successful in engaging people in daily acts of creativity and wonder.  To learn more about her art practice visit www.amyelkins.com
