Doctoral Internship in Health Service Psychology

Our training program offers many exceptional opportunities throughout the year that are designed to prepare our psychology interns for entry level work as Health Service Psychologists. CAPS provides a ripe experiential learning environment that fosters interns professional identity. By the end of the training year, interns acquire essential Profession Wide Competencies (PWC).

Postdoctoral Fellowship

The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) Postdoctoral Fellowship Program provides Postdoctoral Fellows with opportunities for advanced training in Health Service Psychology (HSP). Over the course of the year, Postdoctoral Fellows continue to enhance and solidify the development of clinical skills required for professional practice in psychology.

Psychiatry Residency Training

The psychiatry training experience at Stanford Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) aims to provide psychiatry fellows and residents with a systems understanding of mental health care in a university setting. The training experience places an emphasis on recognizing how treatment fits within an individual’s identities and intersections of identities, in line with the greater mission of CAPS.
