Vaden Health Services Fees

Some services offered at Vaden are not covered by the Campus Health Service Fee. These include travel consultations, some immunizations, physical exams, CAPS long-term therapy, and CAPS medication management.

The Campus Health Service Fee ("Health Fee") is a quarterly fee that is mandatory for all undergraduate and graduate students, visiting student researchers, and students who participate in high school summer programs that result in course credit at Stanford. This fee, which is charged on the student bill each quarter that tuition is charged, covers many of the services provided at Vaden Health Center including primary care visits, CAPS evaluation and short-term therapy, and health and wellness programs. In 2024-2025 the Campus Health Service Fee is $261 per quarter. Learn more about the Campus Health Service Fee here

Incoming Students

If you have not yet submitted your entrance health forms, please do so immediately. Failure to comply will result in a hold on your future ability to enroll in courses. More information about entrance health requirements can be found here. Do your part to keep our campus healthy!

Health Insurance Decision

ALL incoming students are required make a decision about health insurance (i.e., to remain enrolled in Cardinal Care, or to waive coverage if using another plan) in their first 'registered' quarter of each academic year. Please see this website for information on Cardinal Care 2024-2025.

The charts linked below list charges that apply for services not covered by the Campus Health Service Fee:

Active students may print personal immunization and some other records directly from the VadenPatient portal at no cost. For records that are not directly accessible, the following charges will apply:

  • Patient directed request for records: $6.50
  • Third party request for records: $0.25 per page
    • Payments for request for records should be paid in the form of a check made payable to Stanford University.
