If you are helping a friend, or just feel that you need more information about what to do, the Sexual Violence Advisory Board is a comprehensive site discussing a wide range of topics.
The YWCA Sexual Assault Center is open by appointment or drop-in office hours, Monday through Thursday, 2 - 4 PM. We are located on the first floor of Vaden Health Center. At the center, highly trained advocates meet with and assist survivors regarding their options for responding to a sexual assault. They help coordinate easy access to a wide range of campus services related to the aftermath of an assault, such as medical assistance, law enforcement, legal and judicial services, and emotional support.
The YWCA also enhances sexual violence prevention programs related to sexual assault, dating violence, domestic abuse and stalking. Students are actively involved as peer educators, and activists.
