Cost per quarter and coverage dates for Cardinal Care
The premium for Cardinal Care for the 2008 - 2009 academic year is $756 per quarter. Premiums will be included on your quarterly University bill. There is no option to change the coverage period or prorate the premium. See also Coverage Options.
The cost of Cardinal Care is based upon the actual cost and utilization of the plan by our students. Driving the surge in costs are factors such as increases in hospital and physician prices, the rising use of promising but expensive medical technology and the growing use of new, more expensive prescription drugs.
The plan year is from September 1 to August 31.
Cardinal Care coverage corresponds to each quarter of the academic year, as follows:
Policy Year 2008 - 2009
Fall Quarter – September 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008
Winter Quarter – January 1, 2009 to March 30, 2009
Spring Quarter – March 31, 2009 to June 22, 2009
Summer Quarter – June 23, 2009 to August 31, 2009
You are automatically enrolled each quarter that you’re registered
